How to Identify Your Lock
  1. Is the door : uPVC - Aluminium - Composite or Wood?
  2. Is there a manufacturers name stamped on the lock strip?
  3. What is measurement A ? (See picture to right)
  4. What is measurement B? (See picture to right)
  5. How many : Hooks, Rollers, Deadbolts, Mushrooms or Shoot Pins are there on the lock? (See pictures below)
  6. What is the width of the lock strip ?
  7. What colour is the lock strip i.e. Brass or White ?

A Typical Example
  1. Question 1 = uPVC (double glazing)
  2. Question 2 = Manufacturers name is Fuhr
  3. Question 3 = Measurement A is 35mm
  4. Question 4 = Measurement B is 92mm
  5. Question 5 = The lock has 2 hooks and 2 rollers
  6. Question 6 = The lock strip is brass
  7. Question 7 = The width of the lock strip is 16mm

From these answers we can derive that the lock is a Fuhr, 35-92, 2 Hooks 2 Rollers.
The best way to find this lock would be to:

  • Click on uPVC door locks
  • Then click on Fuhr
  • Then select 35-92, 2 Hooks 2 Rollers
