Is the door : uPVC - Aluminium - Composite or Wood?
Is there a manufacturers name stamped on the lock strip?
What is measurement A ? (See picture to right)
What is measurement B? (See picture to right)
How many : Hooks, Rollers, Deadbolts, Mushrooms or Shoot Pins are there on the lock? (See pictures below)
What is the width of the lock strip ?
What colour is the lock strip i.e. Brass or White ?

All of our mechanisms are lever/lever operation.

Question 1 = uPVC (double glazing)
Question 2 = Manufacturers name is Fuhr
Question 3 = Measurement A is 35mm
Question 4 = Measurement B is 92mm
Question 5 = The lock has 2 hooks and 2 rollers
Question 6 = The lock strip is brass
Question 7 = The width of the lock strip is 16mm

All of our mechanisms are lever/lever operation.

From these answers we can derive that the lock is a Fuhr, 35-92, 2 Hooks 2 Rollers.

The best way to find this lock would be to:

Click on uPVC door locks
Then click on Fuhr
Then select 35-92, 2 Hooks 2 Rollers

Or if the lock is in situ measure as shown below:
Please note measurements should always be taken from the centre of the key hole.

There are 3 different types of locking mechanisms, these are:

1) Lever/Lever Operation (Most common)
Lift the handle to engage the locking points and then turn the key once to lock. To unlock turn the key once, and push down the handle.
2) Key Operation
Turn the key 2 or more times to fully engage all of the locking points. To unlock turn the key 2 or more times to release the locking points. If you require a key operated mechanism call 01924 360444.
3) Lever/Pad Operation
When closed the door is auto- locked on the latch and cannot be opened from the outside without a key. If you require a lever/pad mechanism call 01924 360444.
